Yoga in Seychelles

While teaching yoga in Seychelles at Paradise Chalets Yoga and Wellness, I had many opportunities to use my creative skills for social media communication and promotion. I designed my own templates, created customized illustrations, and edited videos using my favorite tools: Procreate, Figma, and Adobe Rush.

Illustrations inspired by nature

When nature calls, I follow. This is a collection of illustrations inspired by outdoor activities while traveling in Costa Rica and Chile. (Created in Procreate)

Frame-by-frame animation

I love frame-by-frame animation. These minimalistic morph animations were an opportunity to play with imagination without limits. The idea was simple: picking two objects and transforming one into the other. It was more fun than I expected. (Created in Procreate)

Chocolate to save tapirs

A beautiful project for a great cause. I created promotional materials for a fundraising campaign in Poland to support an initiative empowering women and protecting tapirs in their natural habitat in Venezuela! My task was to prepare packaging for chocolate and social media graphics to promote the event and raise money. (Created in Procreate and Illustrator)

Board game

Strategic consulting case as a board game. This project was so much fun. The task was to create a board game for a recruiting event for students. The general topic of the game was to ensure the supply of water to Perth (the city in Australia). I received the rules of the game and was given total freedom with the visual aspect. It was super nice to create all the elements, including key visuals, cards, the board, and packaging. (Created in Illustrator)

Social behavior

Invitation to join social life after the pandemic. This project was part of internal communication in my office. For me, it was a great opportunity to explore social behavior, facial expressions, gestures, and body language, and have fun with clear, minimalistic character design. (Designed and animated in Procreate)

Stop Motion

Some effects of my fascination with stop motion. After attending the Annecy Festival in 2022, where I fell in love with stop motion, I bought myself plasticine, installed software, set up my home studio, and started experimenting. Yes, stop motion is a lot of work, but it really feels like bringing objects to life. (Created with Stop Motion Studio)

Emotions

Study of various facial expressions. Simplified, minimalistic design serves well to demonstrate emotions in social interactions. There is an area in the human brain dedicated specifically to recognizing faces and facial expressions, which is why portraits always catch our attention. Even with simple lines and abstract colors, we can relatively easily see a face and notice the emotion.

Training catalogue

One of my favorite projects at BCG. The task was to present a training journey as a cosmic space expedition. Each part of the main picture represents one category of training available for employees. All elements were used as a whole composition and separately in various forms for internal communication. (Created in Illustrator and Photoshop)

Hello! I’m Maja

(Maya, but pronounce it however you like).

I’m a Designer, Illustrator, and Motion Designer. For over 8 years, I worked as an in-house designer at a very nice consulting company. Unfortunately, most of the work I did there is confidential, so I can’t share it. During that time, I had the opportunity to work on countless business-oriented design and video projects, as well as super creative internal communications, posters, gadgets, games, and animations.

I value creative freedom, but my main focus is on understanding the idea behind each project and finding the best artistic solution for its purpose. Everything you see in my portfolio has been created by me.

Recently, I started a more active pathway, teaching yoga and moving to nice places like Seychelles, Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka… Now I have some free time and creativity to dedicate to exciting projects.
